Are you a Courageous or Cowardice Christian? Let’s look at what Screwtape’s game plan is for Wormwood to do to the Patient.
Screwtape says to Wormwood; “Now that it is certain the German humans will bombard your patient's town and that his duties will keep him in the thick of the danger, we must consider our policy. Are we to aim at cowardice--or at courage, with consequent pride--or at hatred of the Germans?”
This game plan is to get the Patient to become a coward when being bombarded, or to be courageous – which often leads to pride – unless the glory is given to God, or to fill him with racial hatred to the Germans and all they were doing in WWII.
Christian, are you, in your surroundings of employment, education, recreation, places of worship etc., being bombarded by the biological warfare and its demonic agenda to rob, kill and destroy not only you but to all that you don’t comply with, and to in turn to bow down and worship the politicians and their ungodly mandates?
Well, if that’s the case, you’re not alone. Even though it might seem like in the natural you are the minority, keep in mind that Jesus says in Matthew 18:19-20 19 “Again[d] I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
Remember that the early Church that was under the tyrannical rule of the Roman Empire, a Godless empire that eventually was destroyed from within by their wicked sinful lifestyles of self-worship.
I’d like to read the following commentary from CliffsNotes on the Roman Empire;
“What caused the fall of the Roman Empire? Did Christianity play a role?
As the saying goes, "Rome wasn't built in a day," and neither did the Roman Empire fall in a day. There are a number of reasons for the collapse of the Roman Empire — a decline that took place over many hundreds of years. The rise of Christianity did play a small, but not insignificant, part in the decline, in that it eroded traditional Roman beliefs and values and caused conflicts between Christians and those who continued to hold onto the old pagan philosophies. These conflicts led to persecution of the Christians, until the first Christian Emperor of Rome, Constantine, put a stop to the persecution.
Most historians believe that there is a long list of causes for the fall of the Roman Empire. The internal causes included political corruption, economic problems, and a series of leaders that — let's face it — were more interested in their personal gain than in the welfare of the common people.”
Sound familiar? It sounds a lot like the Godless leaders of our Country of Canada who are creating mandates that are unconstitutional that will ultimately destroy our nation just like Rome, thru self-worship which is idolatry.
Remember that throughout history, not only New Testament Christians were persecuted, but also the Old Testament saints were persecuted if they did not obey the self-worshipping leaders of their day.
We look at Daniel 3 where it talks about Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego; three men who refused to bow down to the image that King Nebuchadnezzar built of himself. They were believers in God, and as a result of not conforming to the Kings edict (mandate and compliance), were thrown into a fiery furnace that was made 7 times hotter than normal. But they weren’t alone, because there appeared a fourth person with them who had the appearance like the Son of God, who would be Jesus.
Are you in that fire of affliction today? You’re not alone, Jesus is in there with you, and He won’t allow you to even get the smell of smoke on your clothes, He’ll protect you, keep you, watch over you with His word.
These three men came out without the smell of smoke on their clothes, let alone the burning of their flesh. Sometimes the affliction that is being placed on you is being turned up by those around you seven times more, but Jesus is with you, and you’ll come out unscathed.
We also read about the prophet Daniel in Daniel 6, when he was thrown into the lion’s den. The King came down early in the morning after not sleeping at night, to see if his servant was still alive. And he was! God had delivered him. Daniel’s own persecutors, those who set him up and conspired against him, were themselves thrown into the den alive, with their wives and children and were killed immediately by the lions.
It shows you again that no matter who conspires against you, no matter what is being said against you, no matter what the affliction is that’s being put on you, God is with you and you will be delivered and what your adversaries have meant for evil, will be turned on themselves.
God’s purpose for Daniel was not be eaten by the lions. He was thrown into that den by an ungodly King and associates who were jealous of him and driven to persecute him. Why? Because Daniel was a man of prayer and wasn’t ashamed of it. He had his windows wide open to pray – as he always did – knowing that his conspirators were watching to snare him. He didn’t change his Christian life or lifestyle to accommodate the Kings edict, but lived his Godly life as he normally did. Christian’s need to do the same today when ungodly edicts and mandates are being placed on them. Daniel wasn’t ashamed to stand up for the things of God. Christian, don’t be ashamed of the gospel, for it’s the power of God unto salvation.
The main agenda of the devil is not only to rob, kill and destroy your lives on earth, but to ultimately get you to backslide and separate you from God for eternity and to be able to one day say of you that, ‘he or she is now safe in our fathers House in hell’.
Screwtape knows that if the Patient dies now in the midst of war, he is safe in God’s house in Heaven, so it’s all demons on deck to try to get him to backslide while living so close to death.
I’d like to read what LitCharts says about this part of the letter, “Summary; Screwtape has learned that the Germans are certain to bomb the patient’s community, and that the patient, due to his “duties,” will be in the most dangerous part of the city. With this in mind, he tells Wormwood that he must produce a sin in the patient’s mind. This sin could be cowardice, or courage followed by pride, or racist hatred of Germany.
Analysis; “Although it seems as if the patient is in grave danger, he is actually, in Lewis’s estimation, now “safer” than he has ever been. He is close to death, and thus Heaven, and he is focused on virtuous duty. Screwtape and Wormwood are getting desperate, and their attempts to corrupt the patient are increasingly clumsy.”
Do you sense across Canada that it’s getting clumsy behind the scenes of our political leaders, backtracking on mandates and regulations? With all the restrictions that they’re trying to impose, they’re failing in the courts and are not able to enforce mandates because they’re getting clumsy, they’ve bitten off more than what they can chew, so to speak.
How are you, Christian, responding in the pandemonium; as a coward and bowing your knee to self-worship and self-preservation or are you courageous to not bow the knee to self-preservation and choose to mortify the pride that often follows, by giving glory to Jesus? It’s okay to be courageous, but don’t become prideful and always give glory to Jesus. Don’t be concerned with self-preservation of your body but of the preservation of the Word of God and it’s promises.
Screwtape continues to talk about what fear and cowardice do; “But hatred is best combined with Fear. Cowardice, alone of all the vices, is purely painful--horrible to anticipate, horrible to feel, horrible to remember; Hatred has its pleasures. It is therefore often the compensation by which a frightened man reimburses himself for the miseries of Fear. The more he fears, the more he will hate. And Hatred is also a great anodyne for shame. To make a deep wound in his charity, you should therefore first defeat his courage.”
The devil wants to defeat your love and charity, Christian. The early Church never bowed the knee to Rome and were courageous to love not their lives even unto death, and this is simply because there is no sting in death for the courageous Christian. Judas was a coward who gave into worshipping self-preservation that in the end, he ultimately not only took his own life but lost his own soul and is now safe in his father’s house in Hell.
We read in Galatians 2:20; “20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
This is the death-to-self walk, the crucified life, that Jesus is commanding us to walk.
John 12:24-26 says; “24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much [a]grain. 25 He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.”
The life that you want to preserve, Christian, you’ll ultimately end up loosing. It will end up in self-preservation and self-worship and who knows what that would lead you to.
Jesus says in Luke 9:23-25; “23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross [a]daily, and follow Me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. 25 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?”
Are you full of courage today, dead to self-worship and self-preservation, or are you a coward that is quoting and twisting Romans 13:1-7, where it talks about obeying the laws of the land, even when they are unconstitutional and go against Christian commands?
The true Christian will always obey God and die to self when tempted to be a coward and twist Romans 13:1-7, in order to maintain self-preservation.
There are a lot of Christians, who while being bombarded in the midst of the pandemic, have like Judas bowed the knee to self-preservation and have become cowards.
Screwtape continues to talk about hatred; “Hatred we can manage. The tension of human nerves during noise, danger, and fatigue, makes them prone to any violent emotion and it is only a question of guiding this susceptibility into the right channels. If conscience resists, muddle him. Let him say that he feels hatred not on his own behalf but on that of the women and children, and that a Christian is told to forgive his own, not other people's enemies. In other words let him consider himself sufficiently identified with the women and children to feel hatred on their behalf, but not sufficiently identified to regard their enemies as his own and therefore proper objects of forgiveness.”
Do you feel a little upset in the middle of this bombarding pandemic and all of its lies and restrictions placed on you by the government? Do you feel a little hatred towards what’s being done to women and children? I believe that it is very important be courageous now more than ever, but we are not to ever hate those who have caused our lives and others to be bombarded by biological warfare and unconstitutional restrictions, but rather pray for them and do good to them, and forgive them, always keeping in mind that they are just behaving like their father the devil.
Jesus explicitly says this in Matthew 5:43-48; “43 You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 [a]But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet your [b]brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the [c]tax collectors do so? 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.”
In light of this, you’re to love the politicians in Canada or wherever you live. You’re to do good to them, bless them, pray for them. You can speak up and talk, but don’t be flippant about it. Like when Jesus called Herod a fox, he was speaking truth but he wasn’t flippant in how he said it. Expose what is going on, but love them and pray for them. They’re just acting like their father the devil.
The Apostle Paul says in Romans 12:14-21; “14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. 17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have[a] regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
This is what your attitude needs to be in the midst of being bombarded, when restrictions are placed on you, Christian, when restrictions are being put on your church, on your place of employment, on the recreation in your life, in the places that you like to go but you can’t go any more, or where you’d like to travel…all of this taken away unless you bow down in self-preservation and take the vaccination.
So, like the Patient in the story who is being bombarded in both physical and spiritual warfare, we also have to keep in perspective our battle is in the spirit and not allow ourselves to become cowards and ashamed of our faith, and when we are courageous to stand up for righteousness, and not become proud, and when we are persecuted, that we bless our enemies and not hate them.
Is it easy to do, no. We have to keep in the forefront of our minds that just because a person calls themselves a Christian that they are not necessarily a true Christian. How many politicians call themselves a Christian yet are behaving like the devil. That’s why you have to pray for them and stand up for the rights of the oppressed and for your constitutional rights, and at the same time, bless them.
Jesus says in Matthew 13:24-30; “24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”
This is the endtime harvest, where the endtime saints are gathered into heaven and to gather the sinner – the tares – and burn them in hell for eternity.
This might help you to understand why there are so many Christians that have bowed their knee to vaccine passports, out of self-preservation in the midst of this virus bombardment of the Government. Could it be that they were tares and not real Christians? It’s becoming more evident as we approach the soon return of our Lord, that like the servants said in this parable about the tares, that we as servants of Christ are seeing the tares in the Church be exposed. I’m not saying that you’re a tare if you’ve been vaccinated. I don’t believe God has or makes tares of people. Tares are Christians who backslide in heart and action but still attend church, and are then exposed and thus their end is doom.
If you’re a Christian today, and you’ve been convinced to be vaccinated for some reason by someone, it ultimately all has to do with self-preservation of yourself and your family. You need to repent before God and ask Him to forgive you for having made an idol of self-worship, an idol of the doctors, an idol of the politicians, and an idol of the medicine they’re giving out. It all has to do with self and selfishness. Together with this, by supporting the implementation of vaccine passports, you’re giving way to discrimination and segregation. It’s sin and needs to be repented of.
In Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus says; “21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
You can include in that lawlessness, you who are worshipping idols, worshipping the medical system above God. Could it be, that many are tares in the churches, those who sit beside you, who’ve opted to worship the medical system, to bow down and preserve their own lives instead of preserving their lives through prayer and asking God to protect them? They’ve allowed fear to come in and have fallen into self-preservation, the worship of self.
Sound familiar? Sounds like Rome, self-worship, or like King Nebuchadnezzar who demanded worship of his citizens, or like our politicians who are demanding that you bow your knee to the medical system idol and if you don’t, they’ll make your life miserable Christian. They’ll say, we’ll make your life so miserable that you won’t be able to travel, to go to restaurants, it will affect your recreation and your jobs, it will affect your place of worship…Christian. Can’t you see it?
Jesus says in Matthew 7:15-20; “15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them”.
So, a good question to ask today, Christian, in the midst of this virus bombardment of government restrictions, are you a courageous Christian that stands up to your constitutional rights and the rights of others, or are you a coward that bows the knee to self-preservation? Do you hate those in authority over you or do you bless them as enemies of the cross and pray for them?
Who is your father today, Jesus or Satan? If you were to die today, would you go to your Father’s house in Heaven or your fathers house in Hell? It’s something to seriously think about and if you are able to repent and come out of the kingdom of darkness and make Jesus Lord of your life, do it now, because once you’re in hell there’s no way out for eternity.
